Tom graduated from Massey University, New Zealand in 1998. He then worked in a large equine practice in Sydney, Australia for three years.

In 2002, he began working in the Cotswolds for Bourton Vale Equine Clinic (BVEC), becoming a Partner in 2008.

In 2022, Tom said farewell to BVEC to help establish a new venture in NEH Cotswolds, an associate of the leading independent Equine Veterinary Practice in the country, Newmarket Equine Hospital (NEH).

Tom’s main interests are working within the horse racing industry and alongside elite level sport horses. Tom also carries out numerous Pre-Purchase Examinations all over Europe. 

Tom is on the veterinary panel for Tattersalls Cheltenham and GOFFS UK. Furthermore, he is part of the veterinary teams at Cheltenham Racecourse and Badminton and Blenheim Horse Trials.

When not crisscrossing the country, Tom can be found training and supporting his daughters Sophie and Rosie with their showjumping, as well as being a full time second groom at home.

Jodie graduated from Bristol University Veterinary School in 2010, before completing the two year equine internship at the world renowned Newmarket Equine Hospital. Following this Jodie worked for 18 months in a busy equine practice in Lambourn, specializing in eventing and racing, before moving to the US to pursue her interests in Equine Sports Medicine. There, Jodie completed one year of integrated sports medicine, including acupuncture and chiropractic training at the University California, Davis followed by a one year Equine Diagnostic Imaging Internship, focusing on equine musculoskeletal ultrasound and high field MRI, and three year Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program, both at the prestigious Colorado State University. Jodie returned to Newmarket Equine Hospital in 2019 as a consultant and became a diplomate of the American College of Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR) in February 2020, becoming one of the few residency trained specialists in this field in the UK. Jodie subsequently made the transition to NEH Cotswolds in Autumn 2023 to better utilise the skills established during her specialist training for the high performance horses cared for by the practice. 

Jodie has undertaken research in magnetic resonance imaging of the equine stifle, computed tomography of condyle fractures in racehorses, the relationship between gait asymmetry and competition performance, and the use of novel therapeutic tools for back pain, with culmination of her work achieving a Master's degree in Clinical Sciences in May 2019. 

In her spare time Jodie continues to enjoy riding, with the goal of getting back out eventing in the future. She also trail runs and enjoys hiking with her dogs Pea and Poppy.

Sam graduated from the University of Bristol Veterinary School and subsequently worked in a mixed practice in Oxfordshire, where he was involved in both equine and farm work before moving to Rossdales in Newmarket. On joining Rossdales, Sam spent 6 years working in the referral hospital and diagnostic centre. This included a wide variety of cases but primarily focused on investigating and treating lameness and poor performance cases. This was integrated with ambulatory sports horse and lameness work out on yards and at events. 

Sam left Newmarket to be closer to family in Warwickshire and set up roots alongside his wife Phili. He worked in Warwickshire for 3 years prior to joining NEH Cotswolds. Sam is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR) which represents the highest level of post-graduate veterinary qualification in this field worldwide. Sam is also an FEI Official & Permitted Treating Veterinarian, and is often in attendance at international events supporting clients. This is also combined with providing veterinary support for the Team GB youth teams, most recently at the Junior & Young Rider European Championships 2023 in Montelibretti.

Outside of work he enjoys cycling, triathlons and clay pigeon shooting.

Graduated from the royal veterinary college in London in 1996. From there, Ali spent the next 8 years working in two equine practices in Warwickshire.

In 2004, Ali moved to Gloucestershire and set up her own practice, Fosseway Equine having bought an equine ambulance, specialising in providing the full veterinary emergency package in the Eventing industry nationally and internationally. Many of you will have seen her whizzing around the event circuit on her quad bike at events across the country .

Ali currently is a level 3 FEI vet and has been a delegate at events from 1 star up to 5 star although her passion is supporting clients at events.

From 2017 until 2022 Ali was Young Rider Team GB vet and Pony Team vet (2023)

Ali joined NEH Cotswolds in 2023.

Lucinda Campbell

Lucinda has been surrounded by horses all her life. From an early age, she took a keen interest in racehorses and began working for various trainers around the Cotswolds.

In 2002, she became an Equine Veterinary Nurse. Throughout her six years, Lucinda gained the experience, and vitally, all the skills required to provide care to our clients beloved horses. Lucinda then moved into the administrative side of that organisation, becoming its focal point in her role liaising with staff and communicating with many of the familiar clients within the equine circuits.

Her love for show jumping has become a consuming part of her life, with both of her daughters, Sophie and Rosie, competing on a regular basis. As well as supporting the girls, Lucinda works closely with Yogi Breisner in producing youngsters and bringing on the Boundary Farm home-breds.

As Tom’s wife, Lucinda has been part NEH Cotswolds from day one and has been part of the evolution of the business. She provides exceptional care and attention to all the patients, spoiling them rotten with treats from the Apple Cart. Lucinda shares her enormous expertise supporting Zanie and Kate in the office and out on the road alongside Tom.

Zanie became interested in Eventing when she was young and spent over 25 years as an international Event Groom. She spent many of those years travelling nationally and internationally working for a variety of different riders and taking on the role as Head Girl & Competition Groom for the top-class riders Pippa Funnell and Laura Collett. Zanie also ran her own Eventing business alongside her husband Chris King for a number of years. 

Zanie has always had a keen interest in the veterinary industry and after knowing Tom Campbell from her work on event yards, Zanie found it a natural progression to move into the world of veterinary care.  

In 2022, when NEH Cotswolds became established, Zanie joined Tom in building the practice, where she continued to support him and his family from dawn until dusk, becoming an integral part of NEH Cotswolds. She became the Assistant Practice Manager and Lead Vet Tech ensuring that the vets are fully supported, and their days run smoothly. Zanie also works with our Horse Ambulance so is regularly seen at multiple Events.

Outside of working hours, Zanie has her side kick dog Treacle, who she spends the weekends walking in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside or snoozing on the sofa in front of National Hunt Racing.

Kate grew up with a passion for horses, with the care and attention being at the forefront. After a couple of seasons Point to Pointing, the bug for National Hunt racing really took hold. She joined Tim Vaughan Racing and spent just under ten years with him progressing to Head Girl.

In 2018, Kate moved to the Cotswolds and began her role as an office administrator for Bourton Vale Equine Clinic. Building on her experience in the racing industry, she developed a deeper understanding of veterinary care. Subsequently, Kate diversified her portfolio by stepping into the commercial property industry, developing a new skill set. When the opportunity to join the NEH Cotswolds team arose, she could not refuse, allowing her to step back into the veterinary world, where her passion lies. Kate has quickly established herself as the office guru, ensuring the practice runs like clockwork. 

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking adventures with her partner and cocker spaniel Mavis or is found riding her ex-racehorse Paddy.
